Here we show the restoration of a desk of the Louis XV period that belonged to the King’s court at the Palace of Versailles. In this case we had to perform a complete restoration. Therefore, we first assembled by gluing the strongly impaired frame of this desk, as well as all its drawers. The veneer in palisander and king wood was also quite deteriorated, but we decided to preserve it. Hence, we peel the veneer off and glued it again in order to fix it well to the surface of the desk and hide some irreparable cracks in the structure of the furniture.
