Jewish table with marquetry in ivory and palisander from 17th century

This table and its detached pieces of marquetry were stored in a basement in Geneva for years, until its owner found our workshop. In this restoration, the hardest part was related to the fact that fillets in ivory where curved and shaped before the inlaying, but not trimmed in a way to achieve their final shape. So, apart from making new marquetry pieces in ivory and palisander from Rio, we had to replace the fillets of ivory that had been detached by inlaying the fillets, which first were bent accordingly to the final shape, but without breaking them.
