The body of this centre table is in pine wood veneered in precious woods, including rosewood, kingwood and ebony. The frieze has a rosewood ground with medallions in kingwood ornamented with marquetry of floral motifs. The case is supported by four slightly cabriole legs that are veneered in rosewood and decorated with fillets in ebony. The table top has a molded edge and is inlaid with a marquetry design of geometric motifs in rosewood, kingwood and sycamore, arranged in concentric circles, inspired by the furniture of the Napoleon III period.
